Following major market acclaim, in 1998, the company launched its White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncake with two Egg Yolks, becoming the No. 1 seller of Mooncakes in Hong Kong – a legacy that has lasted more than 20 years. From the beginning, HONG KONG MX Mooncakes has remained highly committed to the pursuit of quality and the innovation of each product.

Each year, HONG KONG MX Mooncakes celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival together with families in Vietnam. This year, to keep this beautiful occasion and dial up the entertainment, PurpleAsia helped the renowned mooncake seller launch an Augmented Reality (AR) filter for mooncake lovers to enjoy. The filter concept was based on the trendiest filter of recent past: “Which … are you?”; and since the Mid-Autumn Festival is all about gathering, we decided the filter would be best enjoyed with a friend. As a result, multiple Instagram and Facebook followers played and shared their findings with friends and family. In the end, even a large US retailer reshared the filter for US mooncake lovers to play and enjoy.

At the time of writing, the filter has been captured more than 1000 times within the first months of publishing.
